Where did March Go?????

To start the month off I had a wonderful ladies night with my friends I used to work with at the Town of Gilbert (I left 4 1/2 yrs ago). I so enjoy getting together and catching up with them. I so cherish their friendship and the laughter we share whenever we are together. We call ourselves the Ya Ya Sisterhood. They surprised me and showered me with wonderful birthday presents early. I got silver earrings, a silver bracelet, floating spring candles & a summer flip flop candle. You girls are so thoughtful. Thank you for my awesome gifts. You girls rock!!!!!! There are some Ya Ya Sister's missing so hopefully I will see you all at the next gathering.

March was the month of FAMILY...... Jeff's sister Kelly & her family from Alaksa came for a two week visit. They really enjoyed the sun considering they left snow in Alaska. At this point Jeff's grandmother was not doing well at all. When Kelly arrived at 10:30pm on Saturday evening, Jeff & his sister drove to the west side of town to visit her. They had an emotional visit but sweet visit. Kelly asked her Grandmom were you waiting for me and her response was what took you so long to come here. Needless to say the next day she was pretty out of it and and almost comotosed. They did get to say their goodbyes and we all believe Grandmom hung in there just to say goodbye to Kelly as she was the last family for her to see. She passed away early morning on Thursday March 13th. Her funeral service was beautiful. As the hurse began to drive off and everybody was outside watching Dylan stepped toward the curb and waved his hand high and yelled "Goodbye Grandmom". It was such a precious moment. Later that evening as Jeff's Aunt, Uncle & family from Ohio arrived. Dylan told his cousin "today we said goodbye to my grandmom, we packed her gently in a special box with beautiful flowers and sent her to heaven to be with God and I will see her again someday when I go to heaven". Totally melted my heart. I was in awhhhhh. We miss & love her very much, may you rest in Peace.

St Patty's Day we enjoyed a delicious Corn Beef dinner at my Mom & Dad's house. Food, Music, Dancing and company were all great. "God Bless all in de House"

Got to love that appetizer spot on Jeff's shirt...........

With family in tow Jeff got everybody in at the Oasis Water Park at the resort where he works at. They spent the day poolside & soaking in the sunrays. I was at work and then home I went to get ready for the BIG surprise party.......

Next nite was the Big Surprise 60th Birthday Party for Jeff's Mom. She DOES NOT LIKE surprises and that is just what she was SURPRISED. Gotcha Mumsy this one is going down in the books... The evening was really nice. She had lots of family & friends to wish her well & help her to celebrate. We hope you had fun.

Easter was a blurrr- Jeff & I spent 2 1/2 hours at Urgent Care because I was so sick and could not breathe, sleep or stop coughing. Needless to say thank goodness I went I had bronchoitis. They gave me some good cough medicine with codene in it and it knocked me on my a--! I spent the next four days in bed. I felt bad for Dylan but I promise I will make it up next year.

EASTER EGG Coloring @ Nana Gerle's house with all of his cousins & Daddy too.

As I remained in bed & completely useless Jeff & Dylan enjoyed some activities with his visiting family. They had fun playing minature golf, riding the bumper boats, racing the go carts and dinner for his Aunt's b-day at Margarita Ville. Jeff also went to the Sun's game with his Nephew's & brother-in-law. They had some pretty sweet seats and the Sun's won the game.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT TERI!!!!!!

CAN YOU GUESS WHO IS BEHIND THE PARROT MASK..........................................

There are just some things you should not do yourself........

A NOTE TO ALL THE MEN OUT THERE............
a package of disposable razors.... $5.95
a PROFESSIONAL haircut ...... $12.50
shaving your own neck in the shower......... PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!

Let the professionals do it. In Jeff's case I'm the professional much better huh?
Jeff & I were in stitches over this. I noticed his neck line in the car but I did not tell him until we arrived back home where I could fix it. When I first told him, he did not believe me that it was bad so I said to myself "SELF" take a picture. Well we all know that pictures don't lie. So we laughed & laughed and then together came up with this post. Thanks honey for seeing the humor and having fun with it.

xx,
Erin

Family Fun at the Park

Nice way to end the weekend, some good family fun and quality time spent all together. We spent a good portion of the day visiting Jeff's grandmom. We are continuing to keep her in our prayers as her days to be with us are limited. After returning from spending time grandmom, we decided to let Dylan run down some energy and we bicycled to the park. We had a blast. The boys built a sand castle and we had fun chasing each other around, playing pirate ship and just being goofy. The sun setting was quite a site.

GOSH I JUST LOVE THIS KID SO MUCH......
I SO LOVE BOTH OF YOU.... YOU ROCK MY WORLD!!!!!
Pretty cool huh?

A WEEK AT A GLANCE..... 2/11/08 thru 2/17/08

Monday- Dylan is always the helper to get the mail and he was especially excited this day. He took the mail out of the box and shouted "Mom a special package it's a yellow envelope- I think it's a Valentine" and he was so right. THANK YOU Aunt Kelly & cousins for the valentine goodies it was so nice & sweet of you. You totally made Dylan's day.

Dylan & his valentine goodies
Dylan working hard on his valentine for school- the school requested one valentine made at home, it was not to be candy or food. So he with the help of mom made a craft. You will be able to tell he had a lot of fun painting he worked so hard and was so serious.

Later that night he worked very hard on tracing his letters and making cards for some special people in his life. Once again very serious at work.

Tuesday- I decided to stop everything and just let the boys (Dylan & my nephew Michael) get some fresh air and play. I decided I was going to sit back, watch & play around with my camera. So I just let them do their own thing and snapped away.
Dylan in some deep thought

I love you with all my heart and THANK YOU for loving me.

A huge Thank You to Nana G for watching Dylan so we could have some adult time. Thank you Thank you Thank you. We so appreciate your constant willingness.

After dinner we arrived home and I sent Jeff on a scavenger hunt to find all of his goodies. May sound kinda corney but it was actually really cool & fun. Thanks Jeff for being a total sport. I love ya kiddo.

Friday,Saturday & Sunday- We escaped from reality and went to the cool Pines where our Cabin is and enjoyed some R & R. There was a little snow and just a lot of peace & quiet. We were joined by my Mom, Maura,Dave & Michael.

The boys had a blast building a snow man from very little snow with Uncle Dave. Great job guys. You did an awesome job with what little you had.
