SUMMER BE GONE ..............

Goodbye summer because.....

1-goodbye heat-hello fresh air
2-goodbye summer bermuda grass- hello winter rye grass
3-goodbye dead flowers-hello alive, colorful flowers
4-goodbye a/c bill- hello open door's & window's
5-goodbye indoor cabin fever- hello play/fun time outside

I am wishing the summer to be over. The older I get the less tolerable I am for the summer heat. Summer please go away!!!!!!!!

First Day of School

Back into the swing of things. Yesterday was the official day. Mom's a day late on posting. Dylan headed off to school like a champ. Let me just say there were many not so happy little campers and he just stood tall and full of smiles. The photo below will show that. He is going full-time this year which means he stays for lunch and he was so excited and loves his scooby doo lunch box. He did so good and was pretty pooped by the end of the day. He really seems happy, which makes a happy Mamma & Daddy. It's all good.
picture is not so great but doesn't change the fact he is a handsome little man

That's my boy on prayer & pledge line full of goodbye smiles & waves
my little school dude
Hopefully all the first days of school ahead are all this smooth..... I can dream can't I?

Oh So Sweet Sunday

After church we loaded up in the car and Jeff says "Dylan where should we go"? Dylan replies "paradise bakery (for those who know Dylan he loves soup) some yummy soup sounds good to me". Dylan says "Mom that sounds like a good idea right"? So yes you guessed it off to the bakery we head. He loves their fire roasted tomato soup and pasta salad. We enjoyed our lunch, laughed and just cherished each other's company and now it was time to move on. Dylan stops at the door and says "can I throw a penny and make a wish"? I give him 3 pennies to throw into the fountain out front to make 3 special wishes. So this is where the sweet part comes in. He has not fully grasped the concept that he is suppose to keep his wish a secret and therefore Jeff & I try to play like we are not paying attention but it is just way to precious to pass up and so it goes like this. He throws the penny and folds his hands like he is praying and says " God I wish that you could help my Daddy get a good job", my heart melts as it has been quite tough the past couple years. I hand over penny #2, he throws the penny into the fountain and says "God please let us have a baby", my heart double melts as I continue to battle 2nd stage infertility. I hand over penny #3 he throws it into the fountain and says "I wish that I could have a big 4x4 truck to drive, my heart melts a little more. As we drove home I just really thought to myself with happy/sad tears hidden behind my eyeballs gosh how sweet of his little mind. He made sure to include a wish for each of us. Does he see the full picture already at only 4 1/2 yrs old? Family has always been important to me and as I grow older it becomes more & more important to me. I love him to pieces and he is my world. So having said that I only hope that his sweet little heart ALWAYS has a place for us. This is a moment I will cherish forever!
