So much to get done.....

Left out of town right after Thanksgiving. Trying to catch up on laundry, charging the camera battery, trimming the tree, hanging the outside lights and packing away fall decorations. I will post with pictures once my battery allows me. Until then Happy December.

Sooooo Undecided

What's a girl to do when she doesn't know what she wants? It's so time for a haircut, do I go short? Leave it to grow long? No Bangs? Cute Bangs? Layers? Maybe I should turn to a jeannie in a bottle for some wishes & advice. Does any one have a jeannie I can borrow? I promise I will give it back.

Put your hands up.........

Dylan's phrase for Halloween....."Your under arrest, come with me" and then he would handcuff me. This was my Halloween police officer. Dylan was a bit under the weather so he was not that into it this year. He decided he only wanted to trick-a-treat at houses where he knew the people. I think he had more fun handing the candy out. We will hope for a better time next year.

My darling nephew Michael who was a cute Thomas with sound effects included

I think Fall is FINALLY on it's way to us burned out sun bunnies here is Arizona. Thank Goodness.... I love this time of the year. So very jealous of all the blogs out there that have pictures posted with trees showing their autumn colors. We don't get to experience it here in the desert. The palm trees just refuse to change colors. I cherish the memories of my childhood, the many times of raking piles of autumn leaves and jumping into the pile. So I say to myself "Self" boy those were good ole days!
Happy Fall Everyone

First Day of School

Back into the swing of things. Yesterday was the official day. Mom's a day late on posting. Dylan headed off to school like a champ. Let me just say there were many not so happy little campers and he just stood tall and full of smiles. The photo below will show that. He is going full-time this year which means he stays for lunch and he was so excited and loves his scooby doo lunch box. He did so good and was pretty pooped by the end of the day. He really seems happy, which makes a happy Mamma & Daddy. It's all good.
picture is not so great but doesn't change the fact he is a handsome little man

That's my boy on prayer & pledge line full of goodbye smiles & waves
my little school dude
Hopefully all the first days of school ahead are all this smooth..... I can dream can't I?

Oh So Sweet Sunday

After church we loaded up in the car and Jeff says "Dylan where should we go"? Dylan replies "paradise bakery (for those who know Dylan he loves soup) some yummy soup sounds good to me". Dylan says "Mom that sounds like a good idea right"? So yes you guessed it off to the bakery we head. He loves their fire roasted tomato soup and pasta salad. We enjoyed our lunch, laughed and just cherished each other's company and now it was time to move on. Dylan stops at the door and says "can I throw a penny and make a wish"? I give him 3 pennies to throw into the fountain out front to make 3 special wishes. So this is where the sweet part comes in. He has not fully grasped the concept that he is suppose to keep his wish a secret and therefore Jeff & I try to play like we are not paying attention but it is just way to precious to pass up and so it goes like this. He throws the penny and folds his hands like he is praying and says " God I wish that you could help my Daddy get a good job", my heart melts as it has been quite tough the past couple years. I hand over penny #2, he throws the penny into the fountain and says "God please let us have a baby", my heart double melts as I continue to battle 2nd stage infertility. I hand over penny #3 he throws it into the fountain and says "I wish that I could have a big 4x4 truck to drive, my heart melts a little more. As we drove home I just really thought to myself with happy/sad tears hidden behind my eyeballs gosh how sweet of his little mind. He made sure to include a wish for each of us. Does he see the full picture already at only 4 1/2 yrs old? Family has always been important to me and as I grow older it becomes more & more important to me. I love him to pieces and he is my world. So having said that I only hope that his sweet little heart ALWAYS has a place for us. This is a moment I will cherish forever!

Fun Times w/Good Friends

Over the weekend we shared some fun time with friends. Our neighbors/walking buddies who moved away had us over for dinner. We had a wonderful ham dinner that was delicious and yummy oreo cookie cheese cake for dessert. Dylan & Aaron are a year apart and miss the dickens out of each other. The boys had so much fun playing together. We spent the night and spent most of Saturday at the park which is just one house away from their home. Dylan LOVED Aaron's john deere truck and we all had a blast with the water gun soakers. Let's just say no body left the park dry that day. Thank you so much Aaron, Deb & Aaron for the wonderful time. Your house is beautiful and cozy and your cooking was out of this world. We look forward to our next gathering. We miss you guys so much!

Super soaker time
Water boys- on a mission to get more water for their guns.

Dylan "thinks" Santa Claus is going to bring him one of these. Well at least that is what he is hoping for. Little does he know Santa is broke, nothing wrong with dreaming I told him.

Summer Swim Lessons

Lessons are almost over.... Dylan has been in lessons for about 5 weeks. He has done awesome and is totally loving the pool and swimming. We have spent lots and lots of nights in the pool. I just wish it was more refreshing. We feel like it's more of a bath than a pool. It is soooooo hot here!

California Vacation & "The Happiest Place on Earth"

We rented a Beach condo in Oceanside, CA & the front door was about 100 feet from the ocean. How sweet it was. The condo grounds were so beautiful with colorful flowers, waterfalls and even fish ponds where you could feed the fish. We had a fun filled week. Here is a run down of the events we fit in:

*Soaked in the rays on the Beach of course, flew a kite, built sand castle's
*Watched beautiful sunsets, walked the longest & oldest wooden pier almost every night
*Jeff & my Dad played a round of golf in the hills (literally)
*Disney Land- The Happiest Place on Earth
*California Adventures
*Coaster Ride (Train trip) to Old Town San Diego
*Window Shopping (to broke to buy anything) in Carlsbad, this is where we picked up the train
*Whale & Dolphin Boat Ride

The beach was gorgeous, it was cool and the air had moisture. Dylan absolutely loved the ocean. Disney Land was amazing. California adventure was tons of fun. We were so excited to take Dylan, all in all he had fun but was a little overwhelmed and did not like waiting in the long lines & we witnessed a puss face from time to time. Dylan really enjoyed the train ride, it was his first train ride too. Old Towne San Diego was nice to stroll through. We visited the candy shop of course and watched them make salt water taffy. Dylan thought that was cool. We were about a 15 minute walk from the Marina & Harbor so we enjoyed good fish dinners and browsed the shops. We took a boat ride and we were very lucky to see a whale and enjoyed watching the dolphins swim right under the boat. Dylan's first boat ride, he was so excited we left the marina and about 10 minutes into the ocean he crashed and slept the whole time. He was tired I think the week was catching up to him. We walked the beach, flew a kite and watchend some really nice sunsets. We had a blast and were so sad when it ended. Enjoy the photo's
