We were smart and escaped the heat and headed up North. We were joined by my Mom, Dad, Sister & her family. As we were driving one view out the window was hazy, cloudy & dark and the other side was clear with the sun setting. It was wierd to say the least and then we hit the storm. It started to thunder then the lightening and then the rain poured down. By the time we hit our cabin it was wet & cool. Just what we were dreaming of. Yes we do look very forward to rain as living in the desert we see so little of that. So the weekend started off on the right foot. We had some time to relax, we cooked up some good meals, we visited the home made ice cream store- Yum... it is so delicious, we played cards and laughed a lot.
